History The patient was found in the newborn screening program with elevated levels of phenylalanine. Moleculargenetic analysis confirmed the diagnosis of mild PKU (phe-levels 240 - 480 micro-mol/l) withou necessity of treatment. Normal psychomotoric development. IQ in KRAMER-Test 115 ( 5 years of age).
